About Dr. Jared Kiddoe
I’m Dr. Jared Kiddoe, a double board-certified Adult, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and the founder of Authentic Wellness Group. I provide thoughtful, psychiatric care for children, teens, adults, and families navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, and other emotional or behavioral challenges.
My goal is to look beyond symptoms, understand the whole person, and create a treatment plan that helps each patient move toward greater stability, confidence, and well-being.
I am a Duke-trained, double board-certified psychiatrist specializing in the care of children, adolescents, and adults. I am passionate about providing thoughtful, relationship-centered psychiatric care that helps patients feel understood, supported, and equipped to thrive.
I earned my medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine in 2008, where I also completed a Master of Arts in Psychology. I remained at Duke for both my Adult Psychiatry Residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship, completing my training in 2013. This combination of medical and psychological training allows me to bring clinical expertise together with a deeper understanding of the emotional, relational, and developmental factors that influence mental health.

More About Dr. Kiddoe
MeetIn addition to my psychiatric practice, I am deeply committed to strengthening relationships and families. Through Authentic Marriages, I have facilitated marriage intensives, led couples retreats, and served in marriage ministry within my local church. These experiences have reinforced my belief that emotional wellness and healthy relationships are deeply connected. Caring for the whole person often means understanding the relationships, responsibilities, and experiences that shape their daily life.
Outside of the office, I enjoy investing in my family and community. My wife, Kaara, and I are the proud parents of two children, and we are actively involved in our church and local community. We are also frequent speakers at community events, where we enjoy educating families, professionals, churches, and organizations about mental health, emotional wellness, healthy relationships and marriages.
