FORGED Men’s Group
You Carry a Lot. You Don’t Have to Carry It All Alone.
A 9-week group experience created for Black men who want to grow stronger in the areas that matter most — life, relationships, faith, purpose, and brotherhood.
You show up. You work. You provide. You solve problems. You take care of the people who depend on you.
But there are some things a man was never meant to figure out by himself.
The next group begins Monday, September 28 and meets weekly from there.
This Isn't a “Sit Around and Talk About Your Feelings” Group
THIS ISN’T WHAT YOU THINK
We know. Groups aren't every man's thing.
Maybe you're not someone who spends a lot of time talking about what's going on inside.
Maybe the idea of sitting with a group of strangers and sharing your deepest feelings sounds like the last thing you'd voluntarily sign up for.
That's okay.
FORGED isn't about forcing vulnerability, fixing each other, or seeing who can tell the most painful story.
And This Isn’t Therapy.
It's a space for real conversations with other Black men about the things that actually affect our lives.
Work. Marriage. Stress. Anger. Money. Expectations. Race. Purpose. Faith. Family. Success. Failure. Rest. And the pressure to keep going when everybody expects you to be good.
Growth Happens When You Have Space To Be Honest.
Some conversations will challenge you.
Some will give you practical tools.
Some may help you recognize things about yourself you've never slowed down long enough to notice.
Being Strong Has Gotten You This Far
But what happens when strength becomes your only option?
Many Black Men Learned Early
Work harder
Don't complain
Handle your business
Don't let them see you sweat
Take care of your family
Keep moving
Those lessons can produce incredibly capable men.
But There Can Also Be A Cost
Successful professionally, but still carrying stress home
Providing for your family, but struggling to be fully present
Accomplishing one goal after another, but never feeling like you've done enough
Loving God, but still feeling exhausted
Being surrounded by people who depend on you, while having very few men you can actually depend on
FORGED gives us room to talk about both sides of strength:
The strength that has helped us survive and succeed — and the kind of strength we need for the men we're becoming.
What We'll Talk About
Over nine sessions, we'll explore real issues that affect Black men and the people we love.
The Pressure Your Body Carries
Learn to recognize how stress shows up before it starts affecting your focus, decisions, energy, health, and relationships.
The Messages We Learned About Being a Man
What did the men who raised you teach you about strength, work, rest, weakness, responsibility, and asking for help — and which lessons still serve you?
Being a Black Man in America
We'll have honest conversations about racial stress, vigilance, code-switching, being underestimated, having to prove yourself, and the toll those experiences can take.
The Cost of Always Pushing
Ambition isn't the problem. But constantly working harder, carrying more, and refusing to slow down eventually costs something. We'll explore how to pursue meaningful goals without losing yourself in the process.
Anger, Boundaries & What Gets Under Your Skin
Understand what happens when pressure builds, how anger communicates important information, and how to respond without exploding, shutting down, or carrying resentment.
Identity, Expectations & the Pressure to Get It Right
Who are you when you're not producing, providing, succeeding, fixing, or proving something?
Becoming a Better Man in Your Relationships
Providing matters. So does presence. We'll talk practically about marriage, communication, conflict, listening, leadership, and staying engaged when conversations get uncomfortable.
Career, Calling & Purpose
How do you navigate ambition, workplace pressure, racial dynamics, success, disappointment, and career transitions without allowing your job to determine your worth?
Brotherhood
Because one of the greatest resources a man can have is another man who knows him well enough to tell him the truth — and stand beside him while he figures it out.
Why Brotherhood?
Most men have people around them.
That doesn't necessarily mean they have brotherhood.
But how many men really know what's going on with you?
How many men can you call when you're the one who doesn't know what to do?
FORGED is built around the belief that men grow differently when they don't have to grow alone.
Nobody is coming to fix you. Nobody has all the answers.
We're simply creating a room where Black men can show up, tell the truth when they're ready, learn from one another, challenge one another, laugh together, and become better together.
Faith Without the Performance
God is welcome here.
So are your questions.
FORGED is grounded in Christian principles, but this isn't another Bible study or a place where Scripture is used to avoid difficult conversations.
We'll explore what faith looks like in the middle of actual life — when you're tired, angry, uncertain, successful, disappointed, trying to lead your family, questioning your direction, or figuring out who you're becoming.
Because sometimes spiritual growth isn't about learning something new.
Sometimes it's learning how to stop, listen, receive, and trust.
You May Be a Good Fit for FORGED If...
You are a Black man who:
Carries significant responsibility at work or home.
Wants to become a better husband, father, leader, friend, or man.
Is driven but recognizes that constantly pushing has a cost.
Deals with stress but doesn't necessarily want or need therapy.
Wants practical tools for handling pressure and relationships.
Wants your faith to influence how you actually live.
Has plenty of acquaintances but could use deeper relationships with other men.
Is navigating career changes, marriage, fatherhood, empty nesting, leadership, or another transition.
Doesn't consider yourself particularly “touchy-feely” but recognizes there may be value in having some real conversations.
Simply knows there are areas of your life where you want to grow.
You don't need to be in crisis.
You don't need to have a big story.
And you definitely don't need to arrive ready to tell strangers all your business.
Just come willing to participate.
What FORGED Is - And What It Isn't
FORGED IS:
- Brotherhood
- Honest conversation
- Practical tools
- Personal growth
- Faith
- Challenge
- Reflection
- Accountability
- A culturally aware space created with Black men in mind
FORGED IS NOT:
- Group therapy
- A place where you're forced to disclose personal information
- A competition over who has been through the most
- Men giving each other unsolicited advice
- A lecture every other week
- Another place where you have to perform
Authentic Brotherhood
Authentic Brotherhood is a coaching group designed to support Black men in becoming more grounded, self-aware, connected, and intentional in how they approach life, relationships, work, faith, and brotherhood.
The program creates space for honest conversation, practical growth, and meaningful connection without pressure to perform or have all the answers.
A Journey of Healing, Brotherhood & Becoming
Faith · Body · Brotherhood
To help men become grounded, resilient, relationally present, spiritually rooted, and connected to a strong community of brothers — while continuing to pursue meaningful goals in their families, careers, faith, and communities.
The Goal
FORGED Men's Group
Come As You Are. Leave Stronger.
There are plenty of spaces where Black men are expected to produce.
There are fewer places where we're invited to simply show up.
FORGED is one of those places.
For nine sessions, we're bringing Black men together to have conversations that matter, build genuine brotherhood, develop practical tools, strengthen our relationships, deepen our faith, and become more intentional about the men we're becoming.
You don't need to know exactly what you're looking for.
Just be willing to get in the room.
You spend a lot of your life showing up for everybody else.
Maybe it's time to create some space for you.
