Adult PsychiatryAre You Finally Ready To Feel Like Yourself Again?
Have anxiety, low mood, or burnout quietly become your normal and you’re tired of just pushing through?
Have you tried to manage on your own, but the racing thoughts, sleepless nights, or heaviness won’t lift?
Are you wondering whether what you’ve struggled with for years, focus, mood, worry, has a name and a treatment?
Do you want a psychiatrist who will actually listen, not just hand you a prescription and rush you out the door?
You Do Not Have to Keep Pushing Through
You can be high-functioning on the outside and still be exhausted on the inside.
Many of the adults I see have held it together for everyone else for so long that they’ve stopped noticing how much they’re carrying.
If that’s you, please hear this: needing support isn’t weakness, and you don’t have to keep white-knuckling your way through.
With thoughtful psychiatry, you can finally understand what’s going on, get effective treatment, and feel like yourself again — clearer, steadier, and more present in your own life.
Whatever You’re Facing, You’re In Good Company
Struggling with your mental health as an adult is extraordinarily common.
Roughly 31%
The National Institute of Mental Health reports that roughly 31% of U.S. adults will experience an anxiety disorder at some point in their lives.1
More Than 8%
More than 8% of adults experienced a major depressive episode in a single recent year.2
Common And Treatable
These are among the most common and most treatable conditions in all of medicine.
And yet, many adults wait years before reaching out, often pushing through through symptoms that effective treatment could meaningfully relieve.
There is no prize for suffering longer. The sooner you get support, the sooner you can feel better.
Why The Right Psychiatrist Matters
A good psychiatric evaluation is about more than matching a symptom to a pill.
It’s about understanding your full story, your history, your stressors, your physical health, your relationships, and your goals.
That kind of understanding takes time and skill, which is exactly why a rushed, impersonal visit so often misses the mark.
With adult psychiatry, you get care built around the whole person you are.
Adult Psychiatry Built Around You
My approach to psychiatry starts with listening. We begin with a comprehensive evaluation where I take the time to understand not just your symptoms, but your life. From there, we build a personalized plan together, one that fits your goals, your values, and your day-to-day reality.

Medication and Integrated Care
When medication is part of that plan, I prescribe thoughtfully and collaboratively, explaining the why behind every recommendation. You can read more on my medication management page.
Because I’m also trained as a therapist, I can offer integrated treatment rather than medication alone — a real advantage for complex or long-standing concerns like anxiety and depression.
I’m also happy to coordinate with your therapist or other providers so your care is connected, not fragmented.
Meet Dr. Jared KiddoeI’m Dr. Jared Kiddoe, a double board-certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist and founder of Authentic Wellness Group.
I intentionally created a boutique practice where you can receive longer appointments, shorter wait times, and personalized care from a psychiatrist who knows your name, your story, and what matters most to you.
As a Christian, Caribbean clinician, I bring cultural understanding and humility to every relationship. When faith is important to you, I welcome it as part of your care.
But You May Still Have Questions About Adult Psychiatry…
-
A therapist provides talk therapy; a psychiatrist is a medical doctor who can diagnose conditions and, when appropriate, prescribe and manage medication.
Because I’m trained in both, I can offer medication management, therapy, or a thoughtful combination — which is especially valuable for complex concerns.
-
Authentic Wellness is a private-pay practice, which lets me offer the longer, unhurried appointments boutique care requires.
I’m always glad to talk through the details so you can decide what works for you.
-
Not necessarily.
Treatment is individualized, and for many people medication is a season, not a life sentence.
We regularly revisit your plan together, and my goal is always the lowest effective support that helps you thrive.
Take The First Step Toward Feeling Better
You’ve carried this long enough.
If you’re ready for expert, personal psychiatric care that treats you like a whole person, I’d be honored to help.
