When your child is struggling, it can feel frightening and isolating. You may lie awake replaying the day, wondering whether you missed something or did something wrong.

You haven’t…

Reaching out for help is one of the most loving and protective things a parent can do, and you do not have to figure this out alone.

Clear Answers Can Help Your Child Move Forward

Watching your child struggle can be heartbreaking. Whether they're experiencing anxiety, sadness, frequent emotional outbursts, difficulty focusing, behavioral changes, or simply don't seem like themselves, it's natural to wonder what's really going on and how to help.

A comprehensive psychiatric evaluation is designed to look beyond the symptoms. Rather than focusing on a diagnosis alone, Dr. Jared Kiddoe takes time to understand your child's emotional, developmental, medical, family, and school experiences to gain a complete picture of what may be contributing to their struggles.

The goal isn't simply to label a problem. It's to understand your child as a whole person and create a thoughtful, individualized treatment plan that helps them feel more confident, regulated, connected, and able to thrive both at home and at school.

If Your Child Is Struggling, You Are Far From Alone

Childhood mental health concerns are far more common than most families realize.

13%–20%

Between 13% and 20% of children in the United States experience a mental health condition in any given year.¹

These statistics are not a reason to panic. Childhood is exactly when appropriate support can positively change the direction of a child’s life.

Why Early, Expert Help Makes Such A Difference

Children aren’t just small adults. Their brains, bodies, and emotions are developing quickly, and the same symptom can mean very different things at different ages. That’s why a careful, child-specific evaluation matters so much and why guesswork or a rushed fifteen-minute visit rarely tells the whole story. With expert child psychiatry, we can understand your child accurately and support them in a way that fits who they are.

Child Psychiatry That Treats Your Whole Child

Child Psychiatry That Treats Your Whole Child - And Supports You

My approach to child psychiatry begins with truly understanding your child. We start with a thorough evaluation, not just a checklist, but a real conversation about your child’s history, temperament, school, friendships, sleep, family, and the strengths that make them who they are. From there, I work with you to build a clear, individualized plan.

That plan may or may not include medication. When medication is the right tool, I prescribe carefully and conservatively, always starting with your questions answered and your consent fully informed. Because I’m also trained as a therapist, I bring a theraputic lens to every child I see, and I can weave in therapeutic support rather than reaching only for a prescription pad. You can read more about my careful approach to medication management, and about specific concerns like childhood anxiety and autism evaluation.

Throughout, you are my partner. I’ll help you understand what your child is experiencing, what the options are, and what to watch for - so you feel informed and empowered, not handed a label and sent home.
